Contractors and equipment distributors can now offer a special financing program to homeowners who are installing certain energy efficient measures.
Qualified energy efficient improvements include:
In addition, EFS can finance any associated costs connected with the above measures. This includes duct work, electrical upgrades, energy ratings, and service warranties.

- Heat Pumps
- Water Heaters
- Insulation
- Replacement Windows and Doors
- Siding and Roofing
- ENERGY STAR® qualified appliances
- Lighting and Fans

NOTE: Be sure to review your sponsor's loan program to get additional information on the efficiency requirements for each measure installed (ie SEER, AFUE, etc.).
There are many benefits to participating contractors, including:
- Ability to close more sales.
- Payment made directly to the contractor upon completion of work. Payment can be made by direct transfer of funds to contractor's bank account, or by check.
- Potential for additional business. Once on the participating contractors list, the contractors name will be distributed to potential customers who live in the contractor's service territory.
- There are no sign up fees to the contractor or customer.

All work financed with an energy loan must be installed by a participating contractor. The requirements for participation are easy to meet. Contractors must:
- Be in business for at least one year.
- Possess all necessary licenses and permits.
- Carry $1 million in general liability insurance; worker's compensation as required by law.
- Maintain a "Satisfactory" rating or no rating with the Better Business Bureau.

To become a participating contractor, please review and complete the following documents:
Submit the signed Contractor Application, Contractor Participation Agreement, and IRS W9 Form along with a certificate of insurance evidencing the necessary insurance coverage requirements to:

Approved contractors will be mailed a supply of application forms and may immediately begin offering the loan program to potential customers.
